- Recognized for a second time as the Gode Cookery site of the month in May 2011.
- Winner of the 2010 Wooden Pin Competition with the entry, “The Four Seasons”. This made me the winner of both the first Wooden Pin competition and the last Wooden Pin competition.
- Winner of the Culinary category in the 2010 Ice Dragon competition with the entry “How to Make Eggs” a translation, analysis and interpretation of a sixteenth century Dutch stuffed egg recipe.
- Translator for the winning entry of the 2009 Wooden Pin competition. The winner was Sir Aengus MacBain.
- Translator of several recipes included in “A Boke of Gode Cookery: Volume One“, published in 2007.
- Medievalcooking.org was recognized for the first time as the Godecookery “Site of the Month” in July 2006.
- The menu for the 2006 Alabama Renaissance Faire was based on my Frisian food and culture research.
- Winner of the 2005 William Blackfox Award for “Best Special Issue” as editor of the Arts and Sciences issue of the Althing (the newsletter of the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands).
- Winner of the first Wooden Pin competition with the entry, “Almond Pie in the English Manner”.
- Won the “Best Documentation” category at Atlantian Coronation (Spring 2005) with the research paper, “Frisian Cuisine: Roasted Chicken with Stuffing.”.
